Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders

24 x French Bakery Buttermilk Sliders

12 Slices of Burger Cheese – cut in half

12 Slices of Cheddar Cheese – cut in half

1 kg ground Beef

1 c chopped Onion

1 can (400g) Diced Tomatoes with Garlic & Onion, semi-drained

1 T Dijon Mustard

1 T Worcestershire sauce

3/4 t salt

3/4 t pepper

24 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled


1/2 c Butter

1/4 c Brown Sugar

3 t Worcestershire sauce

1 T Dijon mustard

2 t Sesame seeds


In a large frying pan, cook beef and onion over medium heat until beef is no longer pink and onion is tender, breaking beef into crumbles, 6 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Cook and stir until combined, 3-4 minutes.

Preheat oven to 180oC. Cut each roll horizontally in half; arrange bottom halves in 2 greased baking trays. Place burger cheese slice on each of the slider bases, top evenly with beef mixture, crumbled bacon and finish with cheddar cheese slice on each. Replace tops.

To make glaze: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Microwave, covered, on high until butter is melted, stirring occasionally. Pour over rolls; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake, uncovered, until golden brown and heated through, 10-15 minutes.
